Squatting wave pushes for improved Spanish housing policy

The increase in evictions of families across Spain has made squatting an option for many and it has also sparked a response by activists.

Spain’s crisis and the country’s peculiar laws have left several million homes empty and hundreds of thousands of families with enormous debts. Many of those unable to pay their mortgage end up squatting.
