Iberosphere is on the look out for writers and contributors.
If you like our content, have an interest in Spanish and/or Portuguese affairs and think you can produce original, thought-provoking, well-researched articles for our Politics, Business, Sports, Culture or IberoArts sections please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Likewise, we are interested in stories for our Iberoblog section – from light, funny pieces to deeper commentaries that don’t necessarily fit in any other category.
We welcome inquiries from both established journalists and researchers as well as newcomers to the business. We will consider articles that have previously been published elsewhere for republication so long as you own the rights.
Read the site first to get an idea of the types of articles we are interested in. To put it bluntly, we like feature-style stories about issues – big or small – that are of broad interest and importance. We don’t like articles that are only of interest locally or to a very specific audience, unless they can be framed in a national or international context.
At present we are unable to pay for submissions. That, we hope, will change in the future, but until then we can offer writers media exposure – our articles are regularly cited, quoted or reproduced by established international media outlets – and web exposure through backlinks.
Please note that we prefer to receive proposals or ideas for stories rather than completed articles. Please send ideas to the Iberosphere editors:
Guy Hedgecoe (guy@iberosphere.com) and/or Andrew Eatwell (andrew@iberosphere.com).
