Rajoy denies corruption despite revelations

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy gave a press conference on July 15 in which he denied all the allegations linking him to an illegal slush fund run by former Partido Popular (PP) treasurer Luis Bárcenas. 1. Corruption exists everwhere. However if corrupt politicians are allowed to escape after exposure then the problem intensifies.Spanish politics, like politics in many other countries, needs to cleanse itself no matter how long it takes. The Barcenas case involving the Prime Minister would be a strong starting point.
